Maddie Schweitzer, CPA

It may come as a shock to some, but Maddie Schweitzer is not, by her own admission, “a huge math person.” However, she is a fan of puzzles, which explains her enjoyment of the aspect of accounting that involves connecting intricate pieces of information together and to see the big picture.

As one of Rudler, PSC’s newest Certified Public Accountants (CPA), she is excited to help clients address their needs to create a clearer financial picture, with no “missing pieces.”

Maddie’s career at Rudler began when she was just 19 years old. At that time, she answered phones in an administrative role while studying as an accounting major at Northern Kentucky University (NKU). Now, she has come to appreciate her simple origins crediting it with giving her the chance to get her proverbial “feet wet” and make sure accounting was the right career choice.

Maddie’s career has evolved over time, providing her with experience in several aspects of accounting, with employee benefit plan audits being one of her specialties. Rudler has likewise proven itself to be a good fit for her. She enjoys both the flexibility of its working environment and trust the company places in its employees.

“They believe that you will do your work and you’ll do it correctly, so the flexibility is kind of a reward for a job well done,” she says.

Away from the office, Maddie likes staying busy, be it exercising and staying active or spending time in the outdoors with friends and family. She’s a CrossFit enthusiast and also enjoys hanging with her fellow football fans, as a Cincinnati Bengals season ticket holder. Maddie loves working with animals, be it with Tito (her rescue chihuahua mix), or volunteering at the Kenton Co. Animal Shelter. In addition, the two-time NKU graduate also serves as a board member on the BAWAC Community Rehabilitation Center, an organization empowering adult persons with disabilities or other barriers to employment, and as the finance chair for the Pienza at Tuscany Community Association, a condo association.
