Helly Patel, Client Accounting Manager

Growing up in Ahmedabad, Helly Patel learned how to not only speak the language of her state of Gujarat – Gujarati – but also Hindi and English. Knowing three of the 22 official languages in her native country of India is just one example of how she’s cultivated her communication skills for a long-time.

“One of the strengths I usually like to tell people I have is adapting to change very easily. Coming from a different background and speaking multiple languages, moving to another country when I was a teenager wasn't easy. But I just learned to pick up things and adapt very easily,” says Patel, who joined the Rudler, PSC team in March 2024. “That definitely helps in my role now. If somebody reaches out and asks me, ‘Can you do this quickly?’ I’m always able to say, ‘Sure – I would love to!’”

Joining the Rudler, PSC team as a Client Accounting Manager in March 2024, Patel now looks forward to utilizing her talents to the benefit of all the clients she serves.

Immigrating to the United States after finishing ninth grade in India, Patel is a two-time graduate of the University of Cincinnati. Earning her Bachelor’s in Business Administration specialized in accounting in 2015, she would go on to earn her Master of Science in Business Administration (MBA), Accounting in 2017. Her graduate studies would be another exercise in multitasking as she would also spend four months at two local accounting firms interning in 2015 and 2016, respectively.

She quickly found work after completing her MBA, joining Clark Schaefer Hackett as a staff accountant I in 2017 before being promoted to a staff accountant II less than a year later. Patel then spent the next four-plus years working as a staff accountant at TREW in Mason, Ohio before accepting her position with Rudler where she handles bank reconciliation and monthly client books, among other assigned tasks.

Patel says Rudler has already made a big impression upon her – and she aims to do the same for her clients.

“I just love how Rudler is very flexible in terms of your time and they genuinely allow you to have work/life balance – I really appreciate that. Everyone's been great to work with and very helpful,” she says. “When I know I did my best, saw the results I expect and people are satisifed with my work, I’m happy.”

When not working, Helly enjoys spending time with her husband, Urvish, and their extended family. She lists traveling as one of her favorite activities and notes a trip north to see the Northern Lights, Switzerland, Dubai and Bora Bora are among spots on her bucket list. Noting she might like to get into gardening one day, most of her current interactions with vegetables are in cooking her favorite meals. “I like to try out all sorts of meals,” she says. “I’m a vegetarian, so I like to experiment sometimes with recipes.”
