Ross Vanoli, Tax Manager

Ross Vanoli’s soccer talent earned him a spot on the team at Transylvania University in Lexington, but when thinking about his life after college, he decided to focus on a career path that would keep him far away from writing.

“I hated to write, and I felt that this was the one career where I wouldn’t have to do that a lot,” Ross jokes. “Ironically, strong writing and communication skills are what elevate you in this field, and that’s exactly what helped me get to where I am today.”

A native of Centerville, Ohio, Ross joined Rudler, PSC, in June 2026 as a tax manager, bringing 20 years of experience to the firm. In this role, he handles individual and business tax returns while serving on the firm’s AI implementation team.

Prior to Rudler, Ross spent over a decade in state auditing roles with the Commonwealth of Kentucky while building hands-on experience with private accounting firms. Most recently, he served as a senior tax manager at The Accounting Lab in Knoxville.

Having juggled full-time and part-time accounting roles for years, Ross found that Rudler’s culture offered a welcome change of pace.

He applies that same proactive mindset to his client relationships. Rather than simply processing returns, Ross focuses on year-round planning, open communication and responsiveness so clients always feel supported.

Away from work, Ross enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, their four children (two daughters and two sons) and their three cats: Stachamo, Crouton and Sonny. In his downtime, he still plays soccer recreationally, enjoys watching films and is currently honing his skills in ballroom dancing.
