We're Not Too Busy To Give Back!
Throughout our “busier” season, our professionals participate in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) in conjunction with Monica Ibarra, Low Income Tax Clinic Lawyer for The Center for Great Neighborhoods and Thomas More University accounting students.
VITA is a great opportunity for TMU's accounting students to gain valuable hands on experience in real world situations by providing free basic income tax return preparation to low income and elderly individuals who qualify for the program. Our professionals oversee and review the returns, making sure they are prepared correctly, giving back to our community and profession through easily accessible tax service and mentorship of future CPAs.
This partnership, now in its 13th year, is a testament to our commitment to a continuing relationship with the community in which we live and work.
Thank you, Monica Ibarra and The Center for Great Neighborhoods, Thomas More University accounting students, and to our professionals and interns!
