Erin Mauch, Senior Client Accounting Specialist

As a young girl and teenager, Erin Mauch developed an interest in baking speciality cakes. She pursued that passion and attended Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island for just over a year. Being a lifelong vegetarian, she realized that baking and pastry would somewhat limit her opportunities if she were to pursue a culinary career, so she changed tracks and returned to Cincinnati. Since numbers have always added up well for her, she decided to embark on a different path in the world of finance and, eventually, accounting.

Now that she works as a Senior Client Accounting Specialist at Rudler, PSC, it’s safe to say things have turned out sweet indeed (pun intended).

A native of the Madeira suburb of Cincinnati, Mauch is a graduate of Xavier University, earning a degree in finance in 2018. After interning with a local financial services firm, she would go on to get her first accounting role working for a small retirement services organization where she once worked as a dining room server. However, that experience did not pan out, leading her to take a new opportunity as a staff accountant with Rudler in August 2020.

Being very new in the industry at the time, Mauch is proud of the growth she’s enjoyed in the time that has followed, leading to her promotion to Senior Client Accounting Specialist in November 2023. The culture at Rudler has had a significant impact in her progress.

“Everyone is willing to help everyone out. I feel comfortable going to anyone with a question or asking for clarification if I'm given an assignment to work on that I'm not as familiar with,” she says. “Also, there is an aspect of respect here. Everyone respects the other person's time. If someone sends me an email after hours, they don’t expect me to respond immediately that night, as they know they can trust me to deliver what they need the next day.”

A “very kind of straightforward, black-and-white” person by her own admission, Mauch says Rudler, PSC is the perfect place for her to be. It is her hope all the clients she serves will feel the same way.

“If I don't get an answer to a question back, I'll reach out later to make sure it gets resolved – I'm very organized,” she says. “If a client reaches out to me and I don't know the answer, I will ask someone else and make sure I can respond to that client ina timely manner.”

As resident of Erlanger, Mauch continues to enjoy baking in her spare time along with reading historical fiction and as a huge fan of The Walt Disney Company, she enjoys staying up to date with all the latest Disney-related news. She is also a member of Rudler’s Women’s Initiative Committee, an organization she credits with helping her in getting to know her coworkers better while boosting general camaraderie.
