Pillard joined the Rudler team in 2023 and is now having fun as a member of the Client Advisory Services (CAS) team doing what she does best on the firm’s behalf to help her clients. This includes a significant amount of work on monthly financial statements, completing everything from posting bank transactions and reconciliations to payroll, accounts payable and receivable and more.

The Nebraska resident brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role at Rudler. Previously working for MarketSmiths Content Strategies of Brooklyn, NY, she maintained the firm’s books using QuickBooks Online, fielding client billing questions, payroll, 1099s and working with tax accountants at year-end. That opportunity came following her time at HBE LLP in her native Nebraska, finding herself processing accounts payable and receivable as well as payroll for more than 15 companies. This in addition to completing financial statements for several businesses. She also trained new employees in payroll, AP and AR processing as well as preparing training manuals.

Despite being remote, Heather feels right at home now as a member of the Rudler team.

“I just really enjoy the culture here. Everybody is very supportive. Management always reaches out to check in and let me know they’re very satisfied with my work,” she says. “I want clients to know that they can reach out any time and that I'm here to help. I'm here for them to make sure that they feel that their financial statements are being prepared thoroughly.”

Heather is a graduate of Southeast Community College in Lincoln, NE where she earned her associate’s degree in Business Administration with an Accounting Focus in 2016. Now enjoying a long-term relationship with her boyfriend, Diego, in Omaha where she lives with her cat, Katana, she is a fan of reading (Greek mythology is a favorite), trying new restaurants and improving her Spanish-speaking abilities.
