Our Professional Team

Kaitlyn Evans, CPA

Kaitlyn Evans took a high school math course and, despite everyone around her struggling, found it to be “the easiest thing and I sort of became the teacher’s assistant.” That in turn led to her going to college and “I knew what I wanted my major to be and I never changed my mind.”

She looks to enjoy the same train of thought now that she’s part of the Rudler, PSC team.

Kaitlyn joined Rudler in Sept. 2024, working on shareholder John Wood’s team, ready to assist with “reviewing tax returns of all kinds, managing client relationships and client contacts.” A Certified Public Accountant in Ohio, her experience represents a wide range of industries, agriculture, professional services and nonprofits being among her favorite clients to serve.

At Northern Kentucky University, she was a member of Professional Business Leaders, the Kentucky Society of CPAs, Phi Sigma Sigma sorority and student housing as a resident assistant before graduating in 2019. She got her start in accounting interning in the healthcare and manufacturing industries during summers home from college in her native Indianapolis. During her first tax busy season as an intern in 2018, she prepared nearly 400 returns for MCM CPAs and Advisors, now Cherry Bekaert. Since then, she has also gained experience in non-profit accounting, audit, bookkeeping, recruiting and training staff.

Now living just mere minutes away from Rudler’s Fort Wright offices, the short commute to work isn’t the only thing she enjoys about her job.

“I had been looking for a better (work) culture that was more people-centric; I wanted to not dread to go into work every day and this came across as an opportunity. When I interviewed with Chris (Guidugli) and John, it just felt like a really good fit,” she says. “There's a couple of people that I went to college with that work here and I asked them their honest opinions (about working here) and everyone had raving reviews.”

She hopes her clients will have similar sentiments about her work.

“I find a lot of joy in my superpower being one to alleviate the financial stress of others. It really gives me purpose, but I also know that I'm helping someone with one of the biggest stressors of life,” she says. “To be able to reduce that burden. I think you get satisfaction from that and it’s why I look forward to working with all the people I now get to help as part of the Rudler team.”

Away from work, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with her two cats, Sherbert and Eevie as well as with her family in Indianapolis at least once a month. A fan of sand volleyball and food festivals in the summer, she notes thunderstorm watching and traveling as her favorite hobbies, although most nights you can find her binge-watching reality and true crime TV.
